When we lived in Atlanta, my girls went to Atlanta Dog Spa everyday while I was at work and my fiance was finishing up his PhD.

They loved it there! Unlike many of the chains, they allow the dogs to play with toys and really give them individual attention, which I really appreciate. My girls would come home exhausted every night. They separate the dogs into minis, small/medium, and large. They also have furniture for the dogs to lay on, which again, I really like since my puppymill rescue can be somewhat shy and likes to watch a lot of things before she joins in. They also have the webcams, so you can see your pup throughout the day. After Rory was spayed, they let her hang out in the front office with them since she was on limited activity. I really appreciate that the handlers here would play with the dogs and not just watch the dogs play, which is an important distinction I'm finding as I've moved and have tried out a few daycares in our new area. I almost forgot they were constantly sending me pictures of the girls and since I think they are some of the cutest little pups in the world it would always lift my spirits at work.
We have been to a Camp Bow Wow up where we live now. The staff is very friendly, but it's just kind of sterile for lack of a better word. All concrete flooring, no balls or toys, (my girls love fetch), and just plastic play equipment that a lot of the smaller dogs seem to lay on out of boredom. They often come home and are raring to go almost like they just laid around all day instead of playing. Coming from Atlanta, I was not impressed my girls couldn't wear a sweatshirt or coat for daycare when it was snowing outside or in the freezing temps. On our initial consult, they told me I had to remove their top knots, and I told them I'd gladly remove the bow but they needed their topknots to SEE (haven't had a problem with that sense though). I also am uncomfortable with the size of dogs in with the "small" dogs recently, which has made me again look for another daycare in the area.
