Animal Smiley 019 Newbie trying to figure out how to handle a Yorkie

Hi guys,
I'm Joe here and I live in Malaysia.
I just got myself a Yorkie yesterday. He is about 4 months old and I liked him the moment I saw the breeder showed him to me with the rest of his siblings.

Last night he was crying the whole night and I am clueless of what to do. I end up bringing a matress and sleep beside his crate. The moment I settle down beside him, he slept immediately, though he woke up once in a while to check if I am still there.

I did lots of reading last night about Yorkie's first night but there are a lot of information which some contradict with each other. So I guess a Yorkie specific forum would be the best source of information where all the advice will come from people with specific experience. If you guys don't mind, I'm hoping if you guys can share with me some tips on how to handle a new Yorkie for the first few days or weeks? I feel so heart-broken when I hear him cry but I know I should not be too attached to him as he will develop seperation anxiety later on if I'm not there with him all the time.

Basically, he didn't bark or make lots of noise, just feeling restless, moving around and cry/whine. I'm a bit clueless what to do as I have no experience in having dogs as a pet before.
