Confused peeing everywhere!

O.K. Maybe he's pissed (no punt intended!) but Walker is lifting his leg on everything these days! Bedskirts, TV consoles, footstools, you name it....he pees on it. WHY? Is this attitude or is there something medically wrong here?
We have three dogs and he's not left out or anything. His diet is the same, his environment is the same,..but it IS winter and our activity level is way down. Does anybody have something similar happen to them on YT? I have an appointment at the vet to check for kidney infection or any signs of a medical explanation. He's not loosing weight, he's not depressed or had any changes in his mood. But he pees.....and this has started maybe a few months ago. Maybe longer and I just didn't find the pee spots on the carpet! What to do????
