Tyra, I'm so sorry.. This won't help you one bit, but I know exactly what you're going through right now. My little best buddy in the world, Woodie has been suffering from an elevate calcium level since the middle of last month, that we know of, and has caused a degree of renal failure too. He's five years old and I am way overly attached and it's killing me too, so I know exactly how you must feel. Woodie's BUN has only been as high as 135 so far, and his creatinine has been up to 2.3 We've done the IV, for days, pumping fluids through him to get the calcium down, and thought we were going to be ok for a while. Last Friday though, I found out it's going back up. Grrrrrrrrrrr. The specialist and two vets all say that it's either a parathyroid problem, or there is some cancer hiding somewhere in Woodie's body causing all these problems.
