There are products that you can feed your pet that can help with this problem. The stuff I use comes in a tasteless/odorless powder that you mix in their food and it makes their poop taste bad (imagine that!). If you have multiple pets (even cats), you might want to feed it to all of them in case your dogs wants to eat their poop, too. In order for it to work, you have to let your dog eat the bad-tasting poop, otherwise he won't know that it tastes bad. If it tastes bad every time he tries to eat it, eventually he may give up and stop.
