I enjoy having Gatsby registered it gives piece of mind. When Gatsby's sire died of kidney failure I was able to look at his pedigree and with minimal research find and call the breeders of his line on his sires side, and ask about kidney trouble that may have developed later in life and not been passed along to the buyers.
I also like that my money goes to help fund things like dog shows and investigations and even a few charities.
Also this may seem shallow but I never had a pure breed dog before and it makes me feel special to have those papers
