 Pees here, poops there
We are pee pad training our 4 month old, male yorkie, Brando. It has got to the point where he will go to the pad on his own to pee, but will not poop on it. He usually ends up pooping elsewhere in the room, with a couple of exceptions:
Exception 1: We have a doggie litter box with a pad in it. First thing in the morning, he will poop in there, but ONLY if I am right there with him to make sure he stays in the box. (He pees on the pad that lays outside the box)
Exception 2: We have to put him in our bathroom while we are at work. We put a pee pad down where he seems to do his peeing, and he will pee there. He poops behind the toilet. We put another pad down next to the toilet, but he wont poop on it.
Any thoughts on getting him to poop on the pads? |
