Okay, so I am having some problems with grooming. Bentley was just neutered and they put an IV in as a precaution. So....they shaved a spot on his leg. I'm trying to grow his hair out long and now I'm worried that when that spot gows out it will forever look strange. Should I cut him all the way down and start over? Or will it be very noticable? He is quite short so his hair already covers his leg pretty well. I just hate the thought of starting all over again as its taken a while to get to where we are now. Also, the hair on his nose. His groomer usually shaves it down. To keep it out of his eyes. I have read that if grown out it will lay flat. I don't really like it shaved, I'm just at a loss as to what to do while it is growing out. His facial hair seems to grow so slowly. His beard is quite long, but on the bridge of his nose it is short. How long will it take for it to grow long enough to lay flat? And what can I use for watery eyes in the mean time? I try to keep the hair from his eyes but when he plays it manages to get in them. Should I just wipe them? Oh! And one more thing, brushing him. I try to brush him daily but I have read not to brush him while he is dry or the hair will break. I feel like I am doing everything wrong in grooming and need help. I love the long hair look and want to make sure I am doing it right. Like I said, he is quite short, so his hair is about 3 inches from the ground. I can't seem to get it to grow any longer and the groomer tends to trim an inch every time. Sorry for all the questions. Thank you guys!
