Coat differences are a matter of genetics and breeding. While there is a standard, "ideal", for Yorkie coats, amongst the pet population of Yorkies there is a wide variation of coat texture and thickness. There are silk coats, cotton coats, and modifieds that are a combination of the two.
At your pup's age, one can only make an educated guess how her coat will develop. A thinner coat as a pup can develop into the most beautiful adult coat. Looking at the parents and grandparents of the pup is a good indication for what kind of coat she will ultimately have.
