Try Yoga and learning alternate nostril breathing. It really calms you down and helps you sleep. I also wake up in the middle of the night and have problems sleeping but the breathing really helps. I don't really believe in taking meds for sleeping. also check with people at the health food store for supplements. I have never taken any but I have friends who swear by them.
