I think it just depends on your lifestyle. In general, I'd say two is better than one. I want a second but for now, one just works for me. It's so easy and I'm scared to rock the boat. We have such a great bond and I'm mainly worried about that being affected... and everything is cheaper and easier with one. Remember doubling vet costs, doubling clothes

, doubling food costs, etc, etc.
But, in my case, Jackson gets a ton of time with other dogs. We sleep at my dads place 2 nights a week or so and he has 2 other dogs, we get to the dog park weekly, I am a dogwalker so he usually comes with me 5 days a week to walk the dogs with me. I am able to easily bring him with me to family members homes for holidays, parties, etc with no problems. Vacations are easy with one (hotels sometimes charge per pet), family/friends are more willing to accept one into their home, but maybe wouldn't with 2, etc, etc. I will be renting at some point in the near future, and they often charge hefty fees per pet, or some only allow one. It's a lot of things to think about!!
