Seizures can be caused by many things, please don't let your vet just assume it's epilepsy and put him on meds.

Have you had bile acid tests done to check his liver? Allergies can also cause seizures and so can exposure to chemicals inside your home such as cleaning supplies.

Injuries to the neck and/or head can cause seizures too.

If your vet hasn't run any tests please ask them to before starting meds.
