I'm so sorry that your Yorkie has seizures. My Sammy is 12 years old and had his first seizure at 1 year old. The vet started him on phenobarbital and it only helped a little. So then the vet put him on KBR (potassium bromide) along with the pheno. He takes 1/2 tablet pheno in the AM and 1/2 tablet in PM. I put the KBR capsule in his food at dinner time. Thank goodness he has not had a seizure in 9 years!!!!!! If you are not going to be home, please keep your dog in a confined area, like kitchen, x-pen, etc. My vet said they could fall off a couch or bed during a seizure. As the vet said - they can't fall off the floor. If you ever want to talk about this, please feel free to PM me. They live a good happy life even though they have seizures. I know it is such a heartbreaking thing to see when they have one. Wishing you and your pup all the best!!!!
