I use to feed Science Diet and then learned on here it was not good for them, so then switched to Bil-Jac. Then the dogs started to itch some. So I did some more investigating and Bil-Jac has meat by products in it. A corgi breeder told me about Bil-Jac. I found out that Holistic - natural dog food is best, because beef, corn and wheat can cause allergies in dogs. So I switched to Nature's Recipe and my dogs love it. The can food even has chunks of carots and peas in it and you can see them. When I was searching, I took my list of Holistic dog foods to the pet store and out of everything on the list - Nature's Recipe was the only one they carried. My dogs are not itching at all now and their coats even look better.
P.S. I did try Royal Canin 28 for a week and my dogs all got sick - diaherria and stomachs made a lot of noise. I switched very slowly too. That's when I went back to Science Diet and then later switched to Bil-Jac. I love Nature's Recipe now. It worked the best for me.
