I went to a scalp dr once moons ago at a jose eber salon when I had bad dandruff and itchy skin and he told me to get rid of dandruff you have to shampoo everyday not every other day. It worked for me and I think it's common sense. I thought shampooing less would help with dandruff but it made it worse.
We used to bathe a lot more often. They used to get stinky at aobut 5-6 days after a bath, however, once we got over that hump, it was like their body cleansed them or something. It's weird but you would never pick up my dogs and say one stinks, even on the day before bath time.

We do bathe my Westie a lot more often because she's a hot mess.
