Starting a week ago, my 3yr old yorkie had severe vomiting and then awful diarrhea. He went to the emergency room on Sunday night and they found he had low protein levels and slight stomach pain. We left with antibiotics and to just wait and see how he did.

He seems to be doing a lot better since Sunday and has been eating, drinking, playing, etc. However, he has not had a bowel movement since Sunday and I was wondering how long is normal after such a severe illness? Should we take him back to the vet today or just wait for nature to take its course? The only reason I'm hesitant about taking him to the vet is because it stresses him out and always seems to upset his stomach.
