Many people buy pups from breeders with good intent of raising them and taking care of them. Unfortunately, many of these dogs end up at the pound (yes, even yorkies!). Vinnie, my older yorkie, was dropped off at a pound when his owners decided they simply didn't have the time for him. Alex met the same fate at barely 4 years of age.
