I have hear mixed review on taping, but never tried it. I think the best is keep the hair short....
good luck and your furbut will be beautiful
Most breeders begin shaving the ears all the way down at a very early age, as soon as the ear leather begins to thin. But there are times the ears are a bit lazy due to teething, testicles dropping, growing, that the ear does not get the required calcium so the breeder would have taped the ears to assist them.
There are various methods of doing it. I prefer, mole skin cut in the shape of the ear and adding a bit of surgical adhesive then pressing it to the inside of the ear. The mole skin is softer and flesh colored. You can also use Tear Mender and brush it on to the inside of the ear, but with this method you have to make sure you use your them to cover the ear canal opening to prevent any of the product dripping there. Then of course you have to keep the pup still until the product dries.
