Remy's ears were floppy for awhile. When I went to the vet for shots and check ups he would shave her ears. I kept them short and now they are up... and so cute - she is a year old and the ears are always up -- and turning to catch every sound lol

I have hear mixed review on taping, but never tried it. I think the best is keep the hair short....
