Not so much that people just take TicTac to hold her, but several instances (specially when I car travel) where people offer to "watch" her while I use the ladies room, etc. I NEVER, repeat NEVER allow this. I've gone to far as to get back into my car and drive to the next rest stop! I know I sound like I've lost faith in people, but I wouldnt allow a stranger to watch my children, and my last dog was stolen right out of our yard!!! Dashound. We still grieve the loss of Simon. You were remarkably calm to the woman that snatched up your baby. You had every right to go midevil on her.
