Man, I just typed up this huge post and it's gone..so here's the condensed version
We have recently obtained a yorkie, we've affectionately named Peanut. My aunt runs a rescue shelter for dogs and called us when she got Peanut. He was just what we were looking for. She said he was trained.........but he wasn't.
I take him out every 45 min to 1.5 hours but he'll come right back in and pee in the house. It's so frustrating. I cant give the poor guy up..he's family now and we just love him.
I don't think he's spayed because he's still got his "manhood"

so would that help? I've thought about calling an obedience school, but wanted to see what I could find on the net first.
He had been roaming the streets, they think, for some time before they found him. He only had hair on his head, feet and tail. My aunt said that yorkies are known for loosing hair when stressed. His whole body was bare. Now he's growing hair but it'll take probably a year for it to fully come in. The rescue also said they thought he was about 10 years old, but that's never been determined. How can I figure out how old he'd be?
So many questions...we should have definitely been brushing up on our Yorkie knowledge, but now we're here and ready to learn.
Can someone please help us thru this frustrating potty issue that I'm sure lots of people have.
Thanks,
Amy Smith
