I really like the advice above. We've done that to our dog too, leave and come back. It's important when you do this to not make a big deal of leaving or coming back. Don't even say bye or anything, just walk out and back in as if it's not a big deal at all

Also Victoria stillwell shows how to do this. Perhaps look up her videos online
