My yorkie, Addyson use to throw up everytime she was put in a vehicle. It did not matter if the trip was short or long. I tried several different things, but nothing worked.

I finally purchased a pet car seat which hangs from the headrest in the back sit, which puts her high enough to be able to see out. I also put a milk carton up under the car seat so it would be completely stable.

This alone did not work, she still threw up, but not as much. I started giving her some nutri-cal about thirty minutes before I put her in her car seat. This worked like a charm. She now travels 400 miles at one time without throwing up. She still will not completely relax, and she still pants most of the time, but she does not throw up.

I still have my fingers crossed that one day she will relax and enjoy the ride.
