Ahhh, poor thing. It very well could be anxiety. What about taking time to slowly introduce him back to the car. Make the car not moving a happy place, etc, then slowly increase it.

If he's just getting car sick, maybe there is something like a natural doggie gravol that you can give to settle his tummy.

I wouldn't know, I've been fortunate that Harley loves to travel. he's done 3-4 hour car rides and 2 hour plane rides successfully. Good luck
