I have 2 questions...How do you check to make sure that the Yorkie you get is healthy? and Other than spending 3,000 at breeders, is there a rescue where I can adopt a Yorkie and save it's life?

Try Yorkie Haven Rescue www.yhr.org

First with an older dog that has been rescued, they will be fully vet checked, and health problems are fixed prior to placement.

By the time a dog is 4 or 5 yrs old many many potential problems Health and temperament wise will have manifested. LP, CT, HD, PRA, bladder/kidney etc.

Good luck with your search
