Veruca developed a little red bump on her upper lip and I took her to the vet. They biopsied the bump and came back with the diagnosis histiocytoma. They gave me a topical corticosteroid, Synotic, and told me to apply 1 drop 2-3times daily for 3-4 days and then the histiocytoma should regress within 3 weeks. Has anyone else had this problem with their yorkie? What triggers it? And even though I'm following their instructions - I'm nervous about putting the steroid on Veruca's lip because it contains DMSO and she licks it. Any thoughts? Thanks!
