Oh, I totally agree. I should have made a point to mention that my vet checked this wart out when it came up - he was the one who told me it was a wart and is harmless. I also make a point to have him look at the bump whenever Belle is in the vet's office. Any lump or bump that is present for more than a few days should be checked out. While some of these lumps/bumps/warts can be harmless they can also be early indicators of cancer (as Steve & I both know and have had experience with) and since we are not vets we should have these checked out by vets. Early detection can be a life-saver.
