Sorry I missed this back when you asked. Glad someone brought it back up to the top again.
I really like it! Against everyone's recommendations, I did try the cleaner that came with it and it did streak my floors.
But it also cleaned them like they obviously had not been getting cleaned with the Shark! I could not believe that nasty water! It was like the first time you ever use a steam cleaner on your rental carpet and get so grossed out you want to move!
Seriously, my floors did not look that dirty, but the Floormate sure finds it! Since I used the cleaner, & streaked the floors, I did have to run the steam Shark around to get rid of the streaks -- worked like a charm.
Now that this has been posted, I think it is time to run the Floormate around again, maybe tomorrow. The water is not so gross now -- it was just that first time that was really bad. Now it is just regular dirty water, like regular mop water. I am glad you all recommended it. Great product -- sure beats regular mopping and it definitely cleans a LOT better than the steam cleaners.
