Is there another ER vet there? That is the very best option; otherwise call the other one and see if there was a shift change. One of the ERs around here is staffed with new grads at times who are absolutely not ready to deal with the things they may see, so it can be difficult. I would be concerned about the lethargy.
The vet this am should have given a pain med instead of letting the assistant tell you to give tylenol. It may not be the most dangerous drug for dogs, but it is far from the safest. I would never give it if actual vet drugs were available. Not a great idea.
