This is all my fault! I should have felt him moving in bed. For years he has slept with me with no problem, none and now this. I believe he tripped on the comforter trying to get down. I agree with Yorkieusa, don't blame yourself. We all make mistakes, and some of us can learn through others mistakes. Is it possible for you to get him a ramp or stairs? I guess you could also put your mattress closer to ground. You are doing all the right things now, so don't beat yourself up.
