I know this is mean but when I had Joey at Petsmart and he was very young I had him in my arm wrapped in a blanket and a lady walked up with a little boy and she reached over and petted him and was trying to pick him up saying, Oh look Brian at the cute little puppy...I reacted by pulling away, then I said Oh, my this little guy has a terrible infection and it is transmitted to humans....you should wash immediately, she then put her hand on the boys head and I said oh, he also has mites and they transfer to.....so sorry, you should ask before you pet an animal,, I turned around and left....I know this was mean but at the time I didn't care...I felt she invaded my space and it made me mad that she just reached over to pet my baby....much less trying to pick him up...
