Welcome to YorkieTalk. I'm sorry Alfie is having these problems. Vomiting yellow bile is sometimes a sign of a hungry stomach, but not always.
How are his peeing/pooping habits, especially over the last couple of days? Has he been eliminating regularly? Any abnormalities in color of urine or firmness of poop?
Monitor his water and food intake and keep an eye on his gums to make sure they stay pink and moist. I wouldn't force feed him.
I would check in with the vet again, describe the symptoms, and have some bloodwork done.
