I think socializing him at his present age helps a lot. Some are barkers, from what I've seen and experienced, and some are not. I have even read of people who have had them start when they were around nine months old. Just keep your puppy socialized and maybe you'll be one of the lucky one's. My Muffin loved to bark. Kacee hardly ever barks. You just never know, I guess!
