Loki is the same size and a year old. I'd say he goes out about 10 times. From 4-10 I let him out at least 4 times, and once in the morning so that's 5 and my husband is home during the day with him. He drinks too much water, don't worry we've had him checked out. He LOVES water, begs for it, and we have to regulate it or he ends up having accidents in the house, wets his bed, etc. The vet says 1 to 1.5 oz per pound is "sufficient" and I'd say he drinks a good 14-16oz a day. His problem is that no matter how much I put in his bowl, he drinks it all. He also loves ice cubes, snow and he likes to get in the shower/bath and drink the water (gross). He also licks water off blades of grass. I think he has OCD or something. Is is improving with time. I've heard of other dogs loving water like that too, in fact our next door neighbor has the same problem with his dog.
