Don't worry, just go in about 30 min earlier and say you'd like to speak with the vet beforehand. You can ask him/her about all your concerns then. How much does your puppy weigh? If it's 5 lbs or less you should ask for the IV so if anything goes wrong they can administer fluids right away.
