Follow the vets advice as to length of time to take medicine.
When my little one had kennel cough I would steam up the bathroom and sit in there with her for a little while each night to help her breathe easier- this might help your little one too, along with the meds.
Remember your baby is very young to be home and sick, so he may sleep a lot- just make sure he is eating good and comfortable and then let him sleep as much as he wants.
