When we moved back to our Alabama home a few months ago, we discovered that there are two big ugly hawks around here all the time! Toto is pad trained too but likes to act like a "big girl" when we are on the patio.
She will venture out onto the grass but we watch closer than those darn hawks. My son, who lives across the street, has wooded land which joins his property. It's really thick with underbrush and he discovered two foxes living over there. We learned to be very cautious when we lived in Colorado ... now, there is some scary wildlife up there!
