Mine is quite spoiled, but I have had very little trouble with him as far as house training, even though he still uses his papers occassionally. He will be 3 in June and is neutered. |
I decided to retire the crate this week and leave him out to see how things went. So far I've had no problems with accidents. We did try putting a gate up in the kitchen when he was a puppy but he somehow knocked it down one day and the next day was able to scale it and climb over! The pee pads never worked for me. He either peed beside them or shred them to pieces. He is good now about telling us when he has to go. I've limited his food and water access when I'm not home so hopefully that will help prevent any accidents.
