[Nikko's_human]

Ok, dumb question. How do you know your dog considers you the alpha dog? Sometimes Nikko waits for me to exit the room before he follows but other times when I open the door he sprints ahead of me. He follows me everywhere and licks me alot. When I eat, he sits staring up at me and sometimes (when he realizes I am not going to give him any of my food) he falls asleep at my feet. He can be very stubborn and sometimes when he gets into someplace I don't want him to be he will sit when I yell at him but a few minutes later he's right back at the same spot. Also, he sleeps in his crate at night at the foot of our bed where he can see us. How do I know if I am the alpha dog?
