Ally was only 3 lbs when she had her little surgery with 13 baby teeth removed. I knew she would have a few teeth removed so I purchased canned puppy food so it would make it easier for her to eat. She is a very picky eater and I am always monitoring how much she eats to make sure she is getting enough. Her older sister (13 year pek) is a picky eater also, so it was normal for me to monitor each. She recovered very quickly when we brought her home and she preferred her normal dry puppy food (well more of her older sister's dog food) than her canned food. I gave the canned food to my neighbor. I can't remember if I gave her the nutrical, but she really didn't have a problem. Just make sure you monitor your baby, just like you do now. They recover faster than we do. I almost had to hog-tie Tia when she had her surgery this past September. Her and Ally went wild! Crazy girls! Good luck and keep us posted. Hugs and kisses for a fast and easy recovery.
