Ha! I can't see the eggs clearly, but if you look closely, there are tiny white specks on 4 or 5 of the hairs (can't count the broken ends) but more in the middle of the hair shaft that is not caused by the camera flash and is not a part of normal Yorkie coloring, so I am assuming these are eggs. They are the right size to be eggs, whether they are mite eggs or not, I am not sure, but I bet whatever laid them is causing the itching. Actually looks more like head lice eggs in humans. My vet told me it didn't matter as to the exact identity, that Revolution should kill them. Yorkies can pick up alot of 'noseeums' on walks, and in leaves on the ground. Most don't take up permanent residence, but when they do, they will tear their ears up. When I first adopted Tinkerbell, her ears were thick from the damage done from her scratching and full of scabs and sores. It took a few months before they returned to normal looking ears. And they can and will migrate to other parts of the body, but they usually start at the ears.
