Hi In the first place 8 weeks is very young and as I've been told Yokries are hard to potty train. Zach is 9 months old and he still has accidents when he's playing and forgets to use the wee wee pad. When he's confined he also does fine. Don't worry with patience and love he'll get the hang of it. These dogs are like children playing, they forget to go to wee wee. Zoe who is a shorkie (shih tzu and Yorkie) was the same way also all of a sudden at 9 months she was housebroken and never had an accident again. I'm not saying Riley will take that long (btw Riley is really a cute name). You have to keep at it. Just keep putting him on the wee wee pad after eating and drinking. I have a 8 1/2 week old shih tzu who is 90% trained already. I was very lucky with him. They say who have to confine them until they learn otherwise they will go all over your home.
