I forgot one thing I had meant to mention in my post and that is the Heath Guarantee -- or in this case I almost should say Lack of Health Guarantee!
It says:
"
Puppies are sold with a guarantee against 10 days, no death from the date of shipping, and against life threatening congenital defect for one year from date of shipping. No other conditions are covered.
All veterinarian expenses are the purchaser’s responsibility not the breeders.
The owner is responsible for the cost of any test or diagnostics performed in case of sudden death or illness. We will not issue any cash refunds. In case of death requiring replacement, such replacement will be provided as an exchange if an autopsy is performed by a licensed Vet and all paperwork from this Vet is forwarded to our Vet. Our Vet will ask to speak to this Vet if this happens to occur. The puppy’s microchip number must be a part of this report. Exchange will be for puppy of same value when available. All shipping costs are at the customer’s expense. ................All sales are final."
The first 10 days basically only death is covered and then the buyer must pay for vet fees, cost of test and diagnostics, and autopsy!! Can you imagine having to pay for all those costs to prove the breeder sold you an unhealthy pup? And then you can't even get your money back because there are --
No refunds ever. Only life-threatening congenital defects are covered up to a year. Many horrible defects and diseases can make a dog's life miserable and daily care super costly without being completely life-threatening. Do you realize what a host of diseases, injuries, and congenital defects this guarantee does NOT cover? Wow!
Only replacement is ever offered in the rare cases of death in the first 10 days and life-threatening congenital defects in the first year. Would anyone want a replacement after going through this breeder's "guarantee requirements?" No payment of vet fees if the buyer decides to retain the puppy due to forming a loving, caring bond with the puppy! This is the WORST written Health Guarantee I have ever read!! She is absolving herself from virtually all responsibility! Think of all the things that could happen -- puppy arrives with advanced case of parvo, buyer gets it immediate vet care racking up a couple thousand dollars in vet costs. Puppy dies on day 11 -- this breeder doesn't have to pay a penny! No replacement, no reimbursement of vet fees, no nothing but the buyer being out a puppy, the cost of said puppy and all the vet fees! Another scenario, puppy arrives but has an open font, appears to have balance problems and does not thrive. Still buyer gets vet help and they try valiantly to keep the puppy alive. Puppy dies after a couple months care, including top neurologists and in animal hospital care for over a month. Turns out there was a brain injury due to open font. Breeder says not congenital and does not cover costs, replacement or anything other than sorry about that. Buyer is out tens of thousands of dollars! But worse, buyer still has no puppy.

Too many horrible scenarios to even consider. This breeder should be ashamed of herself with a "Lack of Guarantee" like that. No guarantee would be better -- at least then it would not look quite so uncaring, unethical, and down right inhumane.
I think the health guarantee is almost the worst part of the website. Screams a very definite message that I can't type here.
