Sounds like you will provide a very loving family environment for a new dog. I hope you find the perfect match at Adoption Day! All things happen for a reason, maybe the woman did not really have the dog that would be the right match for you anyway and he or she is waiting at Adoption Day for just the sort of family you provide!
I do think there are a few rescues that are not looking at the whole picture and disqualify people based on their own particular preferences while ignoring so many positives a family can provide. On the other hand there are also a great many rescues giving their hearts to provide the best placements to benefit BOTH the dogs and humans that will combine for one happy family. It cannot be an easy job. Some are bound not to do it well but I applaud those that do! They make such a difference to these little ones that might not even have a life if they had not interceded. Hang in there -- you will find the right match! |
