My problem is that when I ordered all of my whelping supplies, I neglected to order the clotisol and now I don't have it and the puppies are all at 7 ounces and above and tomorrow they will be 4 days old. My vet's office does not have it either. Can I use liquid bandage? I can readily get that. Also, we are having a blizzard so I probably wouldn't be able to get it overnight delivery. Thanks. |
Your vet can provide silver nitrate sticks great for the dew claws. Yes, liquid bandage is fine....however, bleed stop is good too. Not sure if you've done it but if you apply pressure while docking and hold below the dock line for a bit....you'll not have any bleeding at all....a silver nitrate stick will do. And your vet should have liquid surgical bandage too.
