Just wanted to let everyone know that after reading many posts the dermatologist wound up giving me the simplicef and atopica. Its only been one day so no change yet. They put her on a rabbit pres. diet can food for allergies to rule out food allergies. Also did blood work and saw she had a very slight low thyroid which she explained could weaken the immune system which would explain why the staph infection isnt responding to the numerous antibiotics given-the lab showed that the antibiotics given should be working on the particular staph but its resistant-so they are going to try simplicef. I hope it works not sure what they'll try if it doesnt. I appreciate everyone posting all their info. it really helped me I hope this info. helps someone else as well, Ill let you know what happens!
