I'm glad he had the stitches removed and I'm sure he'll feel much better now! I've had my own issues with dissolvable stitches not dissolving! I had surgery to remove a spot from the middle of the bottom of my foot last spring, and a couple of months later it was still very painful and a large pus-filled lump grew there! I summoned up all my courage and poked it with a thumbtack (I didn't want to go back to a doctor lol!) and then I saw a little black thread in there, so I grabbed some tweezers and pulled it out. It healed perfectly and hasn't hurt since
