Riley was neutered on November 12th. About a month later, one of his stitches was poking through. I could see it..... He started licking it so I had to use the e-collar on him during the day while I was at work. I took him back to the vet and the technician said it was where they had knotted the stitch and it should dissolve and he should be fine.
Well, last Thurs. he was licking at it, Again, almost 2-months later and it was a little bloody..... I took him on Sat. to get his nails trimmed and asked them to look at his sutures, again.
The tech came back out and said the stitches had not dissolved like they were supposed to so it was a bit of a reaction. The Dr. went ahead and removed the stitches that were left.
I used the onsie on him sat. & sun. night and used the e-collar on him, today.
- He should be able to fully heal, now!!
P.S. He weighed in at 7pounds 3 ounces.... at 8 1/2 months old.
