I don't know if there is a relationship between tendency to tangle and silk vs. cotton. Is one more likely to tangle than the other?
Max does not mat at all unless his hair gets bunched up under his harness on his chest. Teddy will tangle when he gets dirty, so I try to keep him really clean and use as little product on him as possible.
