I had heard to fill a spray bottle with water and squirt Louie when he barked. I did this and it really works. Now he just see's the bottle and changes his mind whenever he is about to bark. So now I dont even have to spray him .
I also heard of people putting coins in a can and shaking them. (that tip was on the show "the dog whisperer". and it really seemed to work because (ironicly) they do not like the loud noise! haha go figure. But good luck with this and let me know if my tips worked at all.
